Today, you can play Xbox not only on a console or PC – now TCL TVs are joining the list. The Xbox app will be available for download on select Smart TV models, allowing users to launch, for example, Forza Horizon 6, Gears of War: E-Day, and Halo: Campaign Evolved without an additional device.
Microsoft stated:
We want to be where the world plays. This means giving players more choice in how and where they play, and making access to Xbox capabilities easier. Adding the Xbox app to select TCL Smart TVs is another step in this direction. Together, we are making Xbox gaming more accessible than ever, allowing millions of TCL TV users in over 25 countries to play Xbox games on the Smart TVs they already own.
However, last week Microsoft announced a time limit for cloud gaming in existing Game Pass subscriptions. Therefore, active cloud gaming users may need to purchase additional hours.
