The release of "Codex: Space Marines" for the Warhammer 40,000 tabletop game is just around the corner, so Games Workshop employees have decided to show users three variants of this new product.
The "Codex", filled to the brim with background, illustrations, and army rules, will be released in a regular softcover and a hardcover (special edition).
And true fans of Adeptus Astartes will be able to get their hands on the limited edition. Its front cover is truly special. GW has made metallic elements on book covers before, but this "Codex" uses a magnetic panel that allows you to choose the chapter emblem to your liking: Ultramarines, Raven Guard, Iron Hands, Imperial Fists, Salamanders, White Scars.
Also included in the set are a metal Terminator Crux with an antique bronze effect, six art prints, and a complete Space Marines Command Pack, containing all the necessary tokens and reference cards.
The special version of the "Codex", in turn, comes in a hardcover with a panoramic illustration, the inside of which depicts elements of a Space Marine fortress-monastery. The outer cover is decorated with gold foil embossing, and the edition itself features colored page edges and a ribbon bookmark.
All three codices contain the same internal content, encompassing on an impressive 232 pages extensive information about the history of the Space Marines, their organization and the units that make up their armies, as well as many hobby guides to help assemble and create the army of your dreams.
To customize an army designed to defend the Imperium of Man, 15 detachments are available: Gladius Task Force, Assault Brethren, Tactical Brethren, Devastator Brethren, Terminator Storm Force, Tacticus Attack Force, Tacticus Firestorm Force, Phobos Shadow Force, Phobos Shock Force, Gravis Linebreaker Force, Gravis Siege Force, Stormlance Task Force, Ironclad Champions, Gauntlet Task Force, and Ironstorm Spearhead.
Pre-orders for the "Codex" and sets with Vanguard Veterans with jump packs, Intercessors, and a Captain on a "Raider" model combat bike will be available in the near future.
