Various enthusiasts continue to experiment with the NVIDIA DLSS 5 library. Recently, the modern technology was attempted to be integrated into No Man's Sky.
oskar1up posted an example of what the gameplay might look like on social media. Some players, like scottstts, expressed the opinion that No Man's Sky is "the perfect game for DLSS 5."
scottstts explained that No Man's Sky has no human faces, so there will be no "uncanny valley" effect. Instead, the game features diverse nature and space, where the technology's capabilities can be fully utilized to "enhance the realism" of the picture.
Martin Griffiths, a programmer from Hello Games studio, noticed these discussions on social media. He said that the potential task of officially adding NVIDIA DLSS 5 to No Man's Sky would most likely fall to him, as he was the one who implemented support for previous DLSS versions.
The specialist noted that implementing such technology into the game is "not so much a technical solution as a matter of artistic direction":
In this case, the question is not whether we can do it, but whether it will improve the image or, on the contrary, begin to blur the unique visual style and atmosphere of No Man's Sky.
