New Trend in Steam: Realistic Shooters Suddenly Captivate Players

News 0

Just a few years ago, realistic shooters were considered a niche genre, but the situation is changing. Hell Let Loose: Vietnam attracted over 30,000 concurrent players a month ago – a series record.

In recent days, interest in Bodycam has significantly grown. On Sunday, the game's online peak reached 38,958 players and continues to thrive. The project recently received its largest update since release: developers added trench warfare scenarios, improved weapon handling animations, and sound with sound wave propagation simulation.

The creators of Wardogs are also celebrating success. The game has been in the top ten best-selling Steam projects for a week, and after beta tests, it received many positive reviews. The release is scheduled for September 10, 2026.

Currently, three positions in Steam's top sales are occupied by third-person shooters, with the second and third places belonging to realistic shooters. Bodycam is bringing in more money on Steam than the new Onimusha and The Blood of Dawnwalker.
