The release of Forza Horizon 6 on PS5 may be postponed until early 2027 to simultaneously launch its first major expansion, claims The Verge journalist Tom Warren.
Playground Games recently stated again that Forza Horizon 6 will be released on PS5 by the end of this year. However, Warren believes that the studio is not revealing the whole truth and will ultimately delay the release.
According to his data, the Forza Horizon 6 port will appear on PS5 in early 2027. The reason for the delay is the developers' desire to synchronize its release with the first major expansion.
Forza Horizon 6 is hugely popular on Xbox consoles and PC, and the previous installment in the series, Forza Horizon 5, proved its strength on PS5 after Microsoft released it on Sony's console last year. As far as I know, the delay in the PS5 release is primarily due to the desire to synchronize it with the first expansion. The game was released on Xbox and PC on May 15, and its PS5 debut is expected within 12 months of the release.
