Will Red Dead Redemption 2 Be Released on Switch 2? Insider Reveals Rockstar's Plans

Red Dead Redemption 2 was planned for a port to the Nintendo Switch 2, and according to insider Nate the Hate, the port might still happen.

The insider stated that they heard about a version of Red Dead Redemption 2 for the new Nintendo console. The game has not been officially announced yet, but the port was allegedly part of Rockstar Games' plans.

The main issue now remains GTA VI. Rockstar has directed enormous resources towards the new game and is unlikely to want to release two major projects around the same period. This does not mean the cancellation of RDR 2 for Switch 2 – details will have to wait.

Nate the Hate also mentioned Starfield and Doom: The Dark Ages. Both games were allegedly planned for Switch 2 but faced uncertainty. Starfield encountered serious problems during the port's development, and changes in the id Software team could affect Doom: The Dark Ages.

RDR 2 looks particularly interesting: the first part is already available on Nintendo, and a port of the sequel would be a significant addition to the Switch 2 library.
