Recently, the creators of Battlefield 6 presented a new blog dedicated to the future of the shooter. They talked about plans for the next update and the new version of the REDSEC battle royale, and also showed a teaser for season five.
In season five, Battlefield 6 will add Rapid Royale – a new variant of the “battle royale” mode, designed for faster matches and more frequent encounters with opponents:
Rapid Royale is built on the same foundation as the REDSEC battle royale, but features a higher tempo: matches will have fewer players, play zones will be smaller, “circles” will shrink faster, and matches themselves will last less time.
A teaser featuring Las Vegas was also published. Although the blog itself was mostly dedicated to the new Rapid Royale battle royale, dataminers said that Las Vegas content is also being prepared for the main Battlefield 6.
In addition, the creators of Battlefield 6 announced that proximity chat will soon be added to the game. It will be part of the Tidal Strike update – its release is scheduled for September 15. The first version of this chat will be available to players in “battle royale” mode and will allow players to communicate with other people who are near them. Details of the system are promised to be revealed “closer to launch”.
