Retroid Pocket Duo Lite Shown in Action: Mario Kart 7 Launched on Dual-Screen Clamshell

This week, Retroid has already shown gamers a video in which the team tested the Pocket Duo dual-screen handheld console in various projects.

Today, the developers published a new video dedicated to the “younger brother” of this device. We are, of course, talking about the Pocket Duo Lite dual-screen handheld console.

On an engineering prototype of the console, Retroid employees demonstrated gameplay of the racing game Mario Kart 7 from Nintendo 3DS (Azahar was used as the emulator, 2X resolution).

The Pocket Duo Lite will feature a Qualcomm Dragonwing QCS6125 processor (analogous to Snapdragon 665), a 6000 mAh battery, active cooling, and two 60 Hz LCD screens: a main 5.5-inch screen with a 16:9 aspect ratio, and an additional 4.2-inch screen with a 4:2 aspect ratio.

Five color options will be available: black, purple (GC), gray (16-bit), as well as green and lilac made of translucent plastic. This console can be pre-ordered with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage for $135 (11,485 rubles), and with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage for $155 (13,186 rubles).
