Pre-orders for GTA VI-themed gamepads crashed PlayStation Direct - they are already being resold

News 0

As previously announced, on September 10, Sony opened pre-orders for DualSense controllers decorated in the style of Grand Theft Auto VI. Interest in the new gamepad models is clearly very, very high.

Soon after pre-orders began, buyers encountered the official PlayStation Direct store crashing due to the influx of customers. Players complained about long queues; some were unable to complete their orders because payment failures occurred.

Meanwhile, on other retailers' websites, such as Best Buy, the start of DualSense gamepad pre-orders went smoother: the services were able to handle the rush of buyers.

Players can choose between two models: white and black. The gamepads are adorned with the "VI" logo and feature palm tree designs.

The recommended retail price was $85 (or 85 euros), and on sites like eBay, pre-orders for the new DualSense are already being resold with a markup of 2-4 times — offers can be found ranging from an average of $150 - $170 to $300+.
