VEOM Studio and publisher Crytivo announced the release of the full version of The Crust in early September. The game was launched in early access on Steam several years ago.
The Crust is a large-scale economic strategy game about colonizing the Moon with survival elements. Players are invited to take on the role of CEO of their own space company and find a balance between survival and development, managing infrastructure, resources, and a team.
Now players in The Crust will get a complete story campaign, the authors have improved optimization, added a tool for building roads and parking lots, as well as a planning mode that allows you to create a development plan for modules and conveyors with convenient copying of modules, along with recipes.
With the 1.0 release, the game became available not only on Windows, but also on Linux and macOS. The developers warned that version 1.0 is incompatible with saves from early access builds:
The logistics system has been rebuilt from scratch - it provides a performance increase of up to 50% on large bases. In addition, roads have been added to the game, and the excavation system has been completely redesigned. An early access base simply does not fit the new structure, and it is impossible to convert old saves. This is the price of changes that made large bases possible.
However, the developers will leave the possibility to access the last early access build through beta versions in the game properties on Steam (the “Previous” branch – old saves will work there).
