It recently became known that Miami Beach authorities have agreed to an advertising campaign for Grand Theft Auto VI. Not everyone supported this initiative; the decision was made by a narrow margin – four votes were "for," and three votes were "against."
According to preliminary terms, the city could receive "approximately 4 million dollars" for Grand Theft Auto VI advertising. This advertising should be discreet – it will be placed on Boucher Brothers beach chairs and umbrellas. However, instead of the full name "Grand Theft Auto," they will feature the Roman numeral "VI" or "Vice City."
Those who opposed the Grand Theft Auto VI advertising campaign noted the game's criminal nature – not everyone wants their city to be associated with such a project.
The proceeds from the advertising will help fully fund the renovation of the Flamingo football field (for which there are currently no funds).
Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled for release on November 19 of this year on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles. Rockstar Games and Take-Two have not officially announced anything about the PC version's release window.
