AI created a GTA VI-like game in Unreal Engine in an hour - without a programmer
GPT-6 Astra independently created Minecraft, Counter-Strike, and GTA VI-style projects in Unreal Engine in about an hour, using only short text prompts from the user.
YouTube blogger Brendan Jowett tested the capabilities of GPT-6 Astra, which costs $100 per month for a subscription. In the demonstration, the AI worked through OpenAI's Codex installed on a PC, Unreal Engine, and Blender 5.2 LTS.
The model created simple Super Mario Bros.-style demos in about 30 minutes, and projects based on Minecraft, Counter-Strike, and GTA 6 in about an hour. The user only provided a few sentences in the prompt and forbade Astra from using open-source libraries and models.
The projects created in Unreal Engine can then be refined with new commands for the AI, but the entire experiment barely fit within the $100 monthly subscription limit.

However, for full refinement of such projects, at least a basic understanding of Unreal Engine and programming will still be required: commentators note that fixing AI errors and shortcomings may be more difficult than creating the initial prompt.
