The developers of the truck driver simulators Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator have published a new diary. This time, it is not dedicated to working on add-ons, but to in-game events.
Earlier this year, the creators of ETS 2 and ATS stopped holding events because they wanted to refine the system and integrate them into the game itself. In the old version, you first had to create an account on World of Trucks, then complete tasks in the games themselves, and after that, return to the website and transfer items to the game through it.
Work on this update has been going on for several months, and some fans of Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator urged the developers to bring back the old event format for now.
At SCS Software, they heard them and confirmed the imminent return of events to ETS 2 and ATS:
We are pleased to announce that we have decided to resume holding World of Trucks events in the familiar format you already know, while the large-scale overhaul of the service continues.
In the coming months, players in Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator will be able to participate in events. Cruising South Dakota and Cruising Iceland will be held, as well as the seasonal Halloween Event and Christmas Event.
