Recently, Diablo IV developers made several announcements about the future of the project, as well as its release on a new platform.
First, the release of Diablo IV on Nintendo Switch 2 is approaching — on September 15, the Diablo IV: Age of Hatred edition will be available on this console. It will include the main game, as well as previously released premium add-ons Vessel of Hatred and Lord of Hatred. They add new story content to the game and provide access to several classes: Spiritborn, Paladin, and Warlock.
Second, Diablo IV plans to add the Amazon — she will appear in the game in the first half of 2027. The developers promise a new take on the class familiar to fans, and they will also add a new weapon to the game:
The disciplined, athletic, and ready-for-anything warrior familiar to players returns — but in Diablo IV, we've taken a new look at her class. The Amazon will have four playable styles, a classic bow, and also a spear — a completely new weapon type for Diablo IV.
Currently, the developers are not only developing Diablo IV but are also starting to work on Diablo V. Player feedback may influence the new installment of the franchise — Blizzard Entertainment will be studying it.
