Blizzard celebrates Diablo's 30th anniversary with several major announcements. The company officially unveiled Diablo V, confirmed work on a Diablo universe series for Netflix, and also announced the end of major support for Diablo IV. The game will not receive another large expansion – instead, seasons will be released to prepare the ground for Diablo V.
A new achievement for the series was also announced: Diablo's audience has reached 130 million players. This number includes both those who bought the games and users who gained access to them through subscriptions.
Even with the free Diablo Immortal, such a result remains a significant achievement. Blizzard continues to build the popularity of one of its largest game series.
