Sleepless Wilds by Chinese developer Zealory Games has garnered attention for its beautiful graphics and mechanics reminiscent of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, leading to accusations of plagiarism.
A few years ago, similar accusations were leveled against Genshin Impact. Now, a new open-world action RPG, Sleepless Wilds, set to release on PC, is under fire from Zelda fans.
The game will feature combat, though the main focus is on physics puzzles and interaction with environmental objects. This is precisely what many compare to Tears of the Kingdom, with the similarities considered more pronounced than in the case of Genshin Impact.
Sleepless Wilds appears to be a story-driven free-to-play game with gacha monetization, although Perfect World has not yet officially revealed the business model. Zealory Games, founded by Perfect World, employs the creators of Tower of Fantasy.
The release date for Sleepless Wilds is currently unknown. However, testing for the PC version is set to begin soon in China.
