In mid-September, Valve announced the prices for different versions of the Steam Frame VR headset. The package includes controllers, as well as a copy of the game Half-Life: Alyx.
Buyers will be offered two versions, which will differ in terms of built-in memory:
- Steam Frame with 256 GB is priced at $1059 (around 90 thousand rubles).
- Steam Frame with 1 TB is priced at $1299 (around 110 thousand rubles).
Valve noted that Steam Frame is designed for both VR and regular games: “It’s designed for streaming games and works with your entire Steam library. And it also supports a standalone mode: over 100 games (and counting) are fully compatible with Steam Frame in this mode.”
The device is equipped with a 4 nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and 16 GB of RAM. It features 2160 x 2160 pixel LCD displays with a refresh rate from 72 to 144 GHz.
The company also introduced accessories:
- Power supply (45W, with 2.5m cable) — $29
- Ergonomic accessory kit (2 controller straps + battery covers, 1 head strap, 1 enlarged light blocker) — $59
- Replacement accessory kit (1 face cushion, 1 soft head cushion, 1 standard light blocker) — $49
