Command & Conquer Fans Unveil New Campaign - Dawn of the Tiberium Age Receives Update

News 0

The fan project "Dawn of the Tiberium Age Staff" recently received a major update with new content. Players are invited to complete a new story campaign called "Shadow Exodus" for the Brotherhood of Nod faction, as well as explore various multiplayer maps.

The project runs on a refined Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun engine. For example, instead of the outdated DirectDraw, SDL is now offered: "this should finally resolve compatibility issues with modern systems."

Both multiplayer maps and the multiplayer mode itself received an update. For instance, players can now load saved games from the "options" (ESC menu) – this will be useful when playing co-op missions if something goes wrong. A bug that could lead to corrupted saves has also been fixed.

The "Dawn of the Tiberium Age Staff" modification for Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun is distributed for free via ModDB. Work on the project continues: enthusiasts release new patches with improvements and fixes.
