Crimson Desert Expansion Canceled in Several Regions
The decision was made after analyzing the content of Charting the Unknown.
Pearl Abyss studio is currently working on the Charting the Unknown expansion for Crimson Desert Enhanced. As it turned out, it will not be available in all regions where the main game was released.
The developers announced that a decision was made to cancel pre-orders for Charting the Unknown in several regions. The full list of affected regions has not yet been specified, but it is already known that the DLC will not be released in the United Arab Emirates.
In their statement, the creators of Crimson Desert Enhanced indicated that this decision was made after analyzing the content and age rating rules:
Pre-orders in some regions will be closed. Depending on the platform, refunds may be processed automatically or may require you to submit a request through the standard refund procedure on your platform. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.
The release of the Crimson Desert Enhanced: Charting the Unknown expansion is scheduled for October 16 of this year. Players will explore new areas and take control of a ship.
Also, the DLC description noted: "Communicate with the residents of Pywell, learn their stories, and strengthen relationships" — players suggest that potential romance could be the reason for the cancellation of the DLC's release in a number of regions.
