After 27 years, modder ports Parasite Eve II to PC - with improved graphics and high-resolution support

Recently, a modder known as faligame presented an unofficial remaster of Parasite Eve II. His project brings the classic survival horror game to modern PCs.

The developer emphasizes that this is not a PlayStation emulator, but a full-fledged PC version of the game:

The game's PlayStation source code has been recompiled into a native Windows executable, allowing for internal game improvements: sharper 3D, stable geometry, high-resolution pre-rendered backgrounds [1440x1080], and a completely revamped texture set.

Previously, faligame had already published examples of Parasite Eve 2 HD Remaster tests on YouTube and compared the graphics quality in different scenes:

The modder said that he reworked textures for characters and enemies, weapons, menus, and the interface. Text (dialogue) blocks and transitions between locations will not reset the image resolution to the console's 320x240.

The project does not yet have a release date. faligame previously opened a "Parasite-Eve-2-HD-Remaster" page on GitHub to publish screenshots and news about the development progress:

This repository is the public platform for the project: it publishes news, screenshots, and information about the progress of work. It does not contain source code, builds, or any game data.
