Last September, Heroic Games Corporation studio introduced Ship of Heroes. It's a sci-fi MMORPG about superheroes and magic.
Players were offered to create their unique avatars and embark on adventures: fight enemies, team up with other heroes, and trade.
Ship of Heroes received "mostly negative" reviews on Steam — players were very dissatisfied with the quality of the MMORPG and the need for a subscription. The peak online at launch reached only 100 players, and recently it has been at the level of 1-3 users.
As a result, the developers of Ship of Heroes decided to close the project, which they had been working on for about nine years:
Ship of Heroes servers will cease operation on September 22, 2026 — on the first anniversary of the game's release. On this day, we will shut down the servers and access to the game will be closed. We are grateful to our friendly community, which helped guide the project's development: players participated in more than 220 surveys, provided feedback during free public events and testing of new features, as well as on the forum.
