New concept art and the main theme for God of War: Laufey were shown at composer Bear McCreary's concert in Vancouver.
Attendees were presented with exclusive materials from the Sony Interactive Entertainment and Santa Monica Studio game while the orchestra performed the main theme. YouTube blogger Dark Trencher published over four minutes of concert footage featuring the music and concept art.
In July, Sony confirmed that God of War: Laufey will be released on February 16, 2027, exclusively on PlayStation 5. Cory Barlog also stated that the next game about Kratos will continue the events of Laufey and directly connect to her story.
The game will tell the story of Laufey, also known as Faye, a Jotun warrior from Jotunheim, Kratos' wife, and Atreus' mother. After her death, Faye unexpectedly finds herself in the mysterious world of All-Time – a place where all magic originates. There, she learns that her plans to protect her family are in jeopardy and embarks on a journey through the afterlife, inhabited by gods and creatures from various mythologies. Among the revealed adversaries are Sekhmet and Begtse.
