In September, Sidetrack Games and Starbreeze Entertainment announced the release of a new premium expansion for Payday 2. It was named Under the Hammer Heist and adds a heist to the game.
Chronologically, the events unfold “long before the White House heist.” Players are invited to go to the Pallisandro Dimora auction house, where a collection of artworks belonging to a great thief of the 1960s is stored: “These items are unremarkable in themselves, but one of them holds the key to a long-lost fortune.” Bain is once again the employer.

In addition to the heist, Under the Hammer Heist also includes a new weapon — the Karussell revolver shotgun: it has a unique ammunition feeding system based on a rotating cylinder. A huge hammer is also available.
