In September, Creative Assembly and SEGA announced Total War: Shogun 2 - Complete Edition. This new edition of the grand strategy game is set to be released next month.
The developers promise improved graphics, shadows, lighting, and textures, as well as UI scaling for 1440p and 4K resolutions.
Other improvements in the edition include:
- Modernized controls
- Full text and voice-over localization in Japanese and Chinese
- Over 50 new minor playable factions
- Built-in Mod.io-based mod support
- 64-bit system support

The original version of Total War: Shogun 2 is still available for purchase in digital services.
