PS5 on the way to a full hack: new project will support firmware up to 13.60

The Slopkit project is advancing the PS5 jailbreak, having obtained files for firmware up to version 13.60. A full hack still requires exploit verification on real consoles and access to additional components like etaHEN and kstuff.

The PS5 has moved closer to a full jailbreak: the Slopkit project has obtained files for new firmware up to version 13.60, and part of the exploit chain is already being tested.

At the center of the latest developments is Slopkit, which is being prepared for several new PS5 software versions and a potential WebKit attack vector. Developers reported adding files with offsets for firmware up to 13.60. These contain addresses of functions and components necessary for the exploit to work.

In parallel, information about "Slopervisor proof for latest FW" has emerged. The proof of concept for hypervisor bypass has been conducted on firmware 10.00, with 13.60 indicated as a possible target.

However, work on Slopkit is still ongoing: at least one important value for each firmware profile needs to be verified on real consoles. Offsets alone are not enough for a full jailbreak – kernel access and other components, including etaHEN and kstuff, will be required.
