Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja have unveiled new material and offered players an early taste of the game. The sequel will retain the dynamic combat system, while new Insight Skills will allow players to dodge attacks, use the environment for counterattacks, and attack enemies from the air.
Locations will become more open: players will be able to explore fortresses in mountains and valleys, and events will unfold, in particular, during the Battles of Changban and Red Cliffs. The morale system will return, and enemies can be recruited, weakening the enemy army.
The alpha demo is available until September 30, 2026, on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox for PC, and Steam. It allows players to explore the open areas of Changban, three-player online co-op, and an updated character editor. Players who complete the demo will receive the Fledgling Phoenix helmet for the full version.
