Diablo IV is available on the console with the Age of Hatred collection and a new season. In Quality Mode, it runs at 30 FPS: in handheld mode – at 1080p, and when connected to a TV – up to 1440p. Performance Mode offers 40 FPS at 1080p in both modes. However, 40 FPS in docked mode requires a screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz or higher.
The Switch 2 version also supports touchscreen, keyboard and mouse via USB, controller vibration, and GameChat. The game does not use Joy-Con 2 mouse mode.
After connecting a Battle.net account, cross-progression and shared purchases between platforms are available. A constant internet connection is mandatory, but Nintendo Switch Online is not required for the campaign, side quests, open world activities, local co-op, leaderboards, and seasonal progression. A subscription is required for PvP and encounters with other players in the shared open world.
