The real Franklin from GTA V plans to visit Russia - the actor was offered to perform
Grand Theft Auto V star Shawn Fonteno, who played Franklin Clinton, recently participated in the “Dope As Usual Podcast”. During the conversation, he mentioned a possible visit to Russia at the end of the current year.
According to the actor, he was “offered to perform in Russia on December 3, 4, and 5.” He did not name a specific amount: “And the money is good, but, man, it's still about Russia.”
The actor was concerned about security issues, so before making a decision about the trip, he researched whether it was safe to fly to Russia. The search results raised doubts, as some countries recommended refraining from traveling to Russia.
However, the actor still intends to go on the trip. Shawn Fonteno shared his experience — he has already been to places where he was advised not to go, and in the end, he had pleasant experiences and it was safe there:
I'm still going. I'm going to get on a plane and fly to Russia. I'm going to Russia, brother. I've been told “not to go” to many places where I ended up going anyway. And when I got there, I was treated like a king. It was so beautiful and safe. The only problem I encountered was the language barrier. That's it. Otherwise, it was just “wow.”
The actor did not specify which event he was invited to. However, the indicated dates (December 3-5) coincide with Comic Con.
