PC gamers have noticed that SEGA removed the infamous Denuvo protection from several games this month.
Now Total War: Three Kingdoms on PC is without Denuvo (the Steam page has not yet been updated and still shows a DRM notification).
The events of this grand strategy game unfold in China in 190 AD. Players are invited to choose one of the famous warlords and make others submit:
Discover China during the Three Kingdoms era – a vast and astonishingly beautiful country. Fight in lush subtropics, arid deserts, and at the foot of snow-capped mountains. Legendary landmarks of the Celestial Empire await you, such as the Great Wall and the Yangtze River.
In addition, Denuvo was removed from Total War: Pharaoh. In this game, the developers invited players to travel to Ancient Egypt at the peak of its power.
This installment of the franchise was heavily criticized upon release: players called the project a "reskin" with few new features. As a result, Creative Assembly then revised the game's development plan: the cost of the base version was reduced and refunds were issued, and paid DLC was turned into a free update.
