Remedy is not afraid of critics: Control Resonant reviews will be released almost a week before launch

Control Resonant could be one of the biggest surprises of 2026: Remedy will allow the publication of the first reviews as early as September 18, almost a week before the release.

In the gaming industry, an early lifting of the review embargo usually indicates the publisher's confidence in the project's quality. Remedy Entertainment confirmed that journalists will be able to share their ratings for Control Resonant on September 18 at 4:00 PM Moscow time.

The game will be released on September 24 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S, and owners of the digital Deluxe edition on Sony consoles will get access 48 hours earlier. Remedy calls Control Resonant the most ambitious and large-scale project in the studio's history.

The main character will be Dylan Faden, Jesse's brother from the first part. The change of protagonist led to a complete overhaul of the combat system: instead of a service pistol, Dylan uses the Aberrant melee weapon, which transforms into deadly blades and powerful hammers. The new system should make battles more dynamic, straightforward, and brutal.
