The Rating War for Marvel's Wolverine: The Game is Being Flooded with Zeros and Tens on Metacritic

News 1

Two days after its release, Marvel's Wolverine faced a wave of mass ratings on Metacritic: some players are giving the game zeros, others are responding with maximum scores, and the average user rating is currently 6.5/10.

Meanwhile, 60% of the ratings are positive, 32% are negative, and only 8% are in the middle of the scale. Among the complaints about the game are excessive hand-holding, low difficulty, and limited interactivity of cinematic episodes. One user called the project a "$70 movie," while another stated that the game practically "plays itself."

The situation is complicated by disputes surrounding character representation, the appearance of female characters, and conflicts between gaming communities. At the same time, some players admit that they are deliberately inflating scores, trying to compensate for low ratings. One user gave a 10/10, although he admitted that his real rating was closer to 8/10.

Among the high ratings, there are praises for the combat system and the plot. As a result, Marvel's Wolverine finds itself in a situation where "review bombing" from both sides makes it difficult to perceive the current 6.5/10 as an indicator of the entire audience's opinion.
