Recently, internal Rockstar Games materials were leaked online. The data volume exceeds 190 gigabytes and includes various materials, including those related to the upcoming Grand Theft Auto VI. It is assumed that these materials were stolen during a studio hack several years ago.
Various publications, dataminers, and modders have already reviewed the materials and are now sharing their findings. Among the leaked files, files related to the canceled GTA V expansion – the Agent Trevor DLC game assets – were found.
It was assumed that in this expansion, Trevor would become the main character, working for the government. This DLC could have featured a jetpack, a space station, luxurious mansions, and more.
The leak also contained materials related to the Michael and zombies expansion. In addition, the files include an early version of the Grand Theft Auto VI map (it cannot be shown here due to copyright, but the materials have already spread online).
The old version of the map differs significantly from what the developers showed during the presentation: the location of some buildings has changed, and more details have been added.
Players also noticed an old version of Trevor's death. It was assumed to be more brutal: "Trevor was originally supposed to crash into a liquid nitrogen tank, as a result he would be frozen, and then Michael would smash his body into pieces."
Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled for release on November 19 of this year only for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles. The release date or release window for the PC version has not yet been announced.
