Loot boxes, CS2-style mode, and battle pass - Escape from Tarkov: Arena kicks off its third season

News 0

In September, Battlestate Games studio released update 0.6.0 for the online shooter Escape from Tarkov: Arena. The game's third season, named Morbus Imperium, has begun.

Along with it, a battle pass with various rewards was added to the game, including:

  • New weapon modules and camouflages;
  • New tactical clothing;
  • New gear: helmets, body armor, plate carriers, and armored plate carriers;
  • Blue Force Gear PLATEminus V2 plate carriers in various variations;
  • Unique MSA “Millenium Riot Control” gas mask;
  • New Ref's crates (local loot boxes) — “Morbus” and “Panacea”.

A new map “Layout” became available in LastHero mode, and a tactical map “Laboratory” with rewards — clothing, weapon camouflages, Ref's crates, and more — was added to the game.

In addition, a revamped BlastGang mode was introduced, now the gameplay is reminiscent of Counter-Strike 2.

  • An internal economy for the mode was added. Now players no longer need to choose a preset before the match. Everyone starts on equal terms and purchases weapons, armor, and helmets at the beginning of each round with money earned during the match.
  • The Device deactivation system has been reworked. Now the Device explodes when the timer expires.
  • Presets have been replaced by an in-match equipment store.
