In September, indie developer v0lt launched a free giveaway of the retro-shooter Deadshot on PC via Steam. The game received a 100% discount, and now everyone can add it to their library.
According to the plot, the main character of Deadshot is a soldier who woke up "in the middle of a mutant apocalypse." Now he has to find out what's happening and fight various enemies.
The developer noted that classic FPS games served as inspiration for the project: Half-Life, Doom, Quake.
The creator of Deadshot admitted that he used AI technologies during development: he generated a "base" for some environment textures, but then these materials were manually refined to adapt them to the game.
The Deadshot page on Steam is available at the following link. The giveaway will last until September 23, 8:00 PM Moscow time (Wednesday). To get the game in your collection, simply click the "Add to Account" button.
Earlier this month, two other games were given away on PC via Steam – an unconventional fighting game and a space strategy game.
