At a meeting with journalists, Diablo V director Joe Shely was asked about platforms. He replied that Blizzard had nothing to announce yet, but the company wants to give as many players as possible the opportunity to play Diablo 5. After that, a PR employee from the audience loudly whispered: "PC version." Shely immediately joked: "You weren't supposed to tell them that!" The Blizzard representative replied: "If we're not on PC, we're in trouble."
Despite this, Blizzard later stated that Diablo V's platforms have not yet been revealed. The game is set to be released in spring 2029, and details about the versions will be announced later.
It is currently unknown whether Diablo 5 will appear on PlayStation and Xbox. Previous installments of the series were released on Sony, Microsoft consoles, and PC. A similar situation arose with StarCraft.
