Four new heroes will have to fight Gelgus Pust and his plague-infected followers, as the “Agents of the Order Azyr” expansion for the board game Warhammer Quest: Darkwater was announced at The Big Summer Warhammer Preview Show 2026.
Safiya Ashcross is a witch hunter who has earned a reputation as a ruthless fighter. In combat, she can empower allied heroes or weaken enemies. Cole Durnan is a skilled marksman who has traveled with Ashcross for many years. The former Wildwood Corps marksman is equipped with special crossbow bolts, each designed for a specific purpose.
Brother Belias is a battle priest whose faith in the Great Wheel changes his defense and accuracy stats. And Ignus Sharn is a pyrocaster who was practically exiled from the Collegia Arcana. The spellcaster, assigned to Ashcross's motley retinue of assassins, thieves, and outcasts, has an unstable nature and can harm both enemies and himself due to his carelessness.
If users have already completed the Warhammer Quest: Darkwater campaign, these new heroes will offer them fresh challenges on a replay. And for newcomers, Ashcross and her squad will bring a new set of skills to help adventurers defeat Nurgle's followers.
New heroes also mean new equipment and rewards. For example, Cole Durnan can be given a shadow-cursed bolt that pierces through a line of enemies. Such accurate shooting deserves a reward, and the traveler's cloak not only looks stylish but also helps protect Durnan (or any other hero who wears it) from enemy attacks.
The “Agents of the Order Azyr” expansion will soon be available for pre-order.
