The Sims 4 will crash less often and character autonomous behavior will be improved - details of the next update
Some bugs that caused characters to freeze will also be fixed.
Recently, Maxis studio published its September “Laundry List” blog, which is dedicated to upcoming updates for The Sims 4. The developers outlined some plans and talked about bugs that will be fixed soon.
The authors have prepared more than 95 bug fixes, including eliminating ten major causes of crashes. In addition, they have been working on improving the autonomous behavior of Sims – characters will behave more naturally and predictably:
Among other things, Sims will maintain eye contact during conversations, and will stop using kitchen sinks instead of bathroom ones, and waking up to do less important things when they need to restore their energy.

The next update for The Sims 4 is expected on September 22 and will include various bug fixes – some of them are listed below:
- Spouses will no longer turn into partners if you go to the Create a Sim editor to work on a unique tattoo or through the “Choose Outfit” action.
- Various bugs that caused Sims to freeze have been fixed. For example, a critical bug was fixed that caused actions to get stuck in the queue due to prioritization nuances and the execution time of certain actions.
- Several bugs have been fixed that caused infants to be on top of each other or outside the playmat or bassinet after reloading a lot or saving. These fixes should also prevent certain interactions with infants from being canceled and blocked.
