Recently, Paperhead te4m studio and HypeTrain Digital addressed players and warned that the page for the free prologue Paperhead EP.0 would soon be removed from Steam. Users of Valve's service have a few days to claim it for their collection.
Paperhead is positioned as a boomer shooter "with fast movement and a hardcore soundtrack". The protagonist uses a pencil as a weapon — he can draw bombs, which can then be kicked at enemies (firearms will also be present).
The developers used this version to collect feedback, which was later used to refine the project:
After the page is closed, it will no longer be possible to get the prologue. But if you already have it in your library, don't worry: it will remain in your account forever, and you can download and launch it at any time. Paperhead EP.0 was released quite a while ago, and your feedback and support have helped us significantly improve and refine the full version of the game. Thank you to everyone who played, shared feedback, reported bugs, made videos, or simply followed the project.
The Paperhead EP.0 page on Steam is available at the following link: to get the game, simply click "add to library"; downloading it immediately is not necessary. The prologue is expected to be removed on September 24.
Also, in the Valve store, a free soundtrack add-on "PAPERHEAD EP.0 OST" is available for this project, which includes 23 tracks — the page can be found here.
You can add the Paperhead game itself to your Steam wishlist at the following link. The release is scheduled for October 9, 2026.
