In September, Capcom summarized the results of a Resident Evil fan poll, which was conducted in honor of the franchise's 30th anniversary. Votes could be cast between July 15 and 29, with only users registered in the Resident Evil Ambassador program allowed to participate.
The developers wanted to find out which characters players liked the most. The final selection included not only classic but also new heroes.
Some Resident Evil fans will not be surprised by the results of this poll — Leon S. Kennedy came out on top, surpassing Chris Redfield. Jill Valentine rounded out the top three leaders (i.e., she became the most popular female character in the franchise).

Coincidentally, Nick Apostolides, the actor who plays Leon, recently gave an interview to Pause for Thought. During the conversation, he revealed that he had started working on his own game:
I'm starting development on a very small indie game with my younger brother.
Nick Apostolides has not yet revealed any details about the project.
