Retroid continues to surprise fans of dual-screen handheld consoles. This month, they have already introduced and opened pre-orders for devices such as the Pocket Duo and Pocket Duo Lite.
Today, it was announced that the developers have unveiled a new clamshell handheld called the Retroid Duo Lite Plus. This new device features a Dragonwing Q-7790 processor, 8 GB of RAM, 128 GB of internal storage, a Duo Lite-style design, and two TFT displays: the first is 5.5 inches, 1920 × 1080, 60 Hz, and the second is 4.2 inches, 1280 × 960, 60 Hz.
It can be pre-ordered right now for $219 (18,414 rubles), but by using the code LITEPLUS until October 31, you can save $20 and reduce the price to $199 (16,732 rubles). Shipping of the Duo Lite Plus is expected to begin in mid-November 2026.
Gamers were surprised by this move from Retroid. The company first waited for pre-orders for the Duo Lite and Duo to open. Then, the team waited until the Duo Lite devices began shipping to customers before announcing the Duo Lite Plus.
Because of this, some Duo Lite owners will likely feel that they wasted their money, as the Dragonwing Q-7790 processor looks more appealing than the Dragonwing QCS6125.
According to users, this is a rather chaotic and inconsistent launch from Retroid. In comparison, the fragmented release of the Konkr Pocket Advance in several color options seems like a minor issue.
