Rocket League Gameplay on Unreal Engine 6 Shown - Real Professionals Playing

Several months ago, at the RLCS 2026 tournament held in Paris, Psyonix studio announced that a decision had been made to port Rocket League to the modern Unreal Engine 6.

Recently, the developers published a trailer with footage of Rocket League running on UE6. Professional players have already had the opportunity to experience this version. The developers organized a special meeting during which playtests were conducted and feedback was collected.

Players gave interviews and shared that the developers are carefully listening to their opinions. The video includes footage of Psyonix representatives taking notes during a gaming session.

According to Psyonix, this meeting is just the beginning. In the future, the Rocket League developers explain, they intend to hold additional meetings: “professionals will continue to help refine, improve, and rebuild the game from the ground up until the new version of Rocket League receives approval [from pro players].”

Rocket League is expected to be ported to Unreal Engine 6 in 2027. The developers have not yet announced a more precise release date.
