Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Creators Heard Fans - Other Characters Will Get More Content

Cloud Strife will remain the main character of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, although the developers will add more content dedicated to other characters.

Director Naoki Hamaguchi confirmed that the team is aware of fans' desire to “see more of other characters,” so the developers “really wanted to add content that delves deeper into each of them.”

In the game, it will already be possible to complete side quests with some characters as leaders, which will affect dialogue options. Separate content is expected for Barret, Tifa, Red XIII, Yuffie, as well as Vincent and Cid, who are new to the remake trilogy. Perhaps attention will also be paid to Zack Fair.

At the same time, players will meet another character – Chadley, as well as his AI assistant MAI, who will appear to give out side quests.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth will be released on April 8, 2027.
