Gothic 3 turned into a co-op game - an early version of Gothic 3 Heroes multiplayer has been released

Modders are working on a full-fledged multiplayer mode for the game.

A group of modders, Pigeonade, is conducting open testing of a modification called «Gothic 3 Heroes». Enthusiasts offer a full-fledged cooperative mode for the role-playing game Gothic 3.

Work on Gothic 3 Heroes is gradually progressing, and the mod authors this month presented version 0.3, which includes several bug fixes. For example, it eliminates crashes when loading a game from a save file in client mode.

Update 0.3 also adds some gameplay elements to Gothic 3 Heroes and synchronizes mechanics:

• When a player's character is knocked out, a «Player defeated» notification will trigger.
• Transformation potions into animals, as well as poisoning (poison) and disease effects, have been synchronized.
• Summoned creatures now join the party.

The Discord* channel of the modders «Pigeonade» is available at the following link. The authors of the fan multiplayer Gothic 3 Heroes have not yet announced the release date for the full version of their project.

The modders clarified that to install the top modification, a Steam version of Gothic 3 with Community Patch 1.75.14 installed is required — without this specific version, the game will not be able to connect correctly.
