The situation with the Duo Lite handheld console disappointed many gamers, so Retroid decided to correct its mistake. It sent out emails stating that after the announcement of the new Duo Lite Plus model, the developers want to give current Duo Lite buyers the opportunity to choose the most suitable option for them.
To give everyone time to decide, Retroid employees will suspend Duo Lite order shipments for the next three days. Buyers need to respond to the email by September 24 (by 03:00 MSK) and inform the team which of the following options they choose:
- Keep the existing Duo Lite order unchanged;
- Exchange the un-shipped Duo Lite for a Duo Lite Plus. This will require sending an email to sales@goretroid.com (most likely, an additional payment will be required due to the price difference);
- Exchange an already shipped Duo Lite for a Duo Lite Plus. Retroid will cover the return shipping costs after the user receives the package. The buyer will receive a full refund, after which they can order the new 'plus' version.
If Retroid does not receive a response by the specified deadline, the company will assume that the gamer wants to keep their original Duo Lite order unchanged. Until October 31, thanks to the code LITEPLUS, the Duo Lite Plus handheld console can be pre-ordered for $199 (16,756 rubles).
The new device features a Dragonwing Q-7790 chip, Adreno 722 GPU, 8 GB of RAM, 128 GB of internal storage, Android 16 OS, support for charging up to 27W, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, and two TFT displays: the first is 5.5 inches with a resolution of 1920 × 1080 and a refresh rate of 60 Hz, the second is 4.2 inches with a resolution of 1280 × 960 and a refresh rate of 60 Hz.
Duo Lite Plus shipments will begin in mid-November 2026.
