Take-Two Tries to Remove GTA V DLC Footage and Early GTA VI Map from the Internet

Now, publications with leaks are starting to be removed from various platforms.

A lot of material from Rockstar Games studio recently appeared online. It is assumed that it was stolen several years ago during a hacker attack on the developers. Rumors about the existence of such files have been circulating for quite some time: earlier, insider reports stated that add-ons were being developed for Grand Theft Auto V.

Enthusiasts discovered assets in the archive that are related not only to an early version of the upcoming Grand Theft Auto VI, but also to GTA V DLC content. For example, they managed to find developments for Trevor's DLC. It was assumed that in Agent Trevor, the main character would work for the government, use a jetpack, and there is also something like a space station in the files.

Modders also managed to import an early version of the GTA VI map into the PC version of the current Grand Theft Auto V and actively began publishing gameplay footage online.

However, as IGN noted, Take-Two / Rockstar Games lawyers eventually paid attention to what was happening — such publications began to be removed from the network. Videos are now being taken down from YouTube and other platforms. Materials demonstrating fragments of leaks may be subject to removal; the presence of audio fragments may also be a reason for removal.

Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled for release on November 19, 2026, only on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles. There is no information yet about the release date or release window for the PC version.
