Houston Rockets center Steven Adams believes that the release of GTA VI could temporarily lower the level of play in the NBA, NFL, and other American sports leagues.
According to the basketball player, the effect will be most pronounced in November, when most players will focus on the new Rockstar Games title. This could also affect coaches and scouts, whose analytical work will suffer due to decreased concentration.
Adams believes that the situation will normalize in December, when players complete the story mode of GTA VI and return to full training and matches. In his opinion, this shift in priorities for several weeks could affect game results.
The basketball player also considers it important for players to finish the GTA VI story as quickly as possible and return to sports. At the same time, he expects the game's impact to be temporary.
