Developer mestiez reported that the Workshop has disappeared from Steam again due to another dangerous mod.
You may have noticed that the Workshop is gone again. I disabled it a few hours ago because of another malicious mod. This time, the situation is particularly serious.
Players who launched the game on the morning of September 21 were asked to delete all mods from the game folder and wait for security confirmation.
The developer could not precisely determine the actions of the malicious program. It could potentially delete a large amount of personal data, read Discord usernames and other identifying information, and then publish it on Steam Workshop.
Initially, the developer stated that the malware does not steal passwords, tokens, cookies, or other login data. Later, he deleted this message and recommended changing passwords for important accounts just in case, to invalidate potentially stolen session tokens.
