Thanks to the Retro Dodo portal, gamers learned that new collectible diorama figures from Console Heroes and Wilder Toys, dedicated to characters from SEGA video games, are now available in American Walmart and Target stores.
This time, the team decided to sell them in the format of "blind boxes" (also known as loot boxes). Each box contains a 2-inch figure that can be displayed inside a mini Game Gear cartridge, as well as a transparent stand.
The cartridge opens: inside it are artworks of specific levels and a mount that allows the character to be installed if the collector does not want to use the common stand.
A total of six characters are available. Currently, there is no "console-shaped stand" that they made for SEGA Genesis and PlayStation 1. Usually, the company releases a larger set where all characters can be placed directly in the console, but there is no news, information, or leaks about this yet.
Some visitors to the aforementioned stores reported that each box costs $4.49–$4.99 (379–422 rubles). The quantity of goods is limited, and for some reason, these items are not available on the stores' websites. Perhaps they were put on shelves a little earlier than planned — a similar situation occurred with PlayStation 1 products.
The list of characters from this collection is as follows: Sonic — Sonic The Hedgehog, Axel Stone — Streets of Rage 2, Blue Devil — Sonic Drift 2, Ax Battler — Golden Axe, Sniper Fang (aka Hunter Fang) — Sonic Triple Trouble, Joe Musashi — Shinobi.
