Cecil from Final Fantasy IV Returns: New Trailer Shows Hero in Final Fantasy Resonance

Square Enix has released a new trailer for Final Fantasy Resonance, featuring Captain Cecil Harvey from Final Fantasy IV in a new role.

The new video is dedicated to another Vision who will join the other heroes of the game. Cecil did not let orders override his conscience and went against the king, who demanded complete obedience. Now the hero can get a role that better suits his character and strong moral principles.

The disappointment he experienced made Cecil more withdrawn and embittered, and his light and dark sides manifest in an unusual way, turning the captain into a dangerous opponent. At the same time, he seems to be able to control both his best and worst impulses.

In Final Fantasy Resonance, Cecil will join heroes such as Terra, Squall, and Zidane. The game will be released on October 22, 2026.
