Blizzard acknowledged problems with the new Diablo IV season, but even the apology letter had a bug
Not all players received compensation for the bugs - some encountered yet another error.
The 15th season of Diablo IV, titled Hell's Legacy, recently launched. The start was not very smooth: players frequently complained about connection issues to game servers, crashes, and other technical problems.
Blizzard Entertainment reacted to the feedback — they started releasing hotfixes and also sent an apology letter to Diablo IV players:
Thank you, wanderers. We are very sorry that you may have encountered unforeseen issues. Thank you for your patience. Please accept this gift as a token of our gratitude. May it help you on your journeys!
Compensation was attached to this letter. And some Diablo IV players were indeed able to receive one Resplendent Spark — an ancestral material:
A rare material used by the blacksmith to forge a chest with ancestral unique gear. Also used by the jeweler when crafting runes to create ancestral unique items. Can be obtained by salvaging ancestral unique gear at the blacksmith.
However, there's a catch: this letter was broken in some cases. Players in the Diablo IV community complained that they received nothing. Re-entering the game did not help all community members.
